KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have moved to defuse tensions following an incident involving their captain Natxo Insa during the Asian Champions League Elite (ACLE) quarter-final against Al-Ahli in Jeddah on Friday.
The incident, which went viral, saw Insa react angrily to a medical official after JDT forward Jairo Da Silva suffered a serious injury on the pitch.
According to reports, JDT officials later met with the hosts’ medical team to calm the situation and issue an apology for Insa’s actions, which have drawn criticism online.
